Greetings from Gracci

compassion in action for orphans and widows

Gracci is home to 12 children and Aunty Khandare, a widow.  Gracci provides a home, clothing, education, health care, and a lot of love. We provide our children and Aunty Khandare a family.

India has the world’s largest population of children 440 million. 35 million of those children are orphans.

Gracci exists to reveal God’s love by providing a home for as many orphans and widows as possible.

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world (The Holy Bible : New International Version. 1996, c1984 (Jas 1:27). Grand Rapids: Zondervan).

Gracci receives many requests to provide children and widows a home. We need your help to purchase another piece of land and build a larger house. It is a great honor to be used by God to reveal His fatherhood to the fatherless and a provider for widows.

“We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.” – Marian Wright Elelman

You can make a difference. Will you? Please consider becoming a part of the Gracci family by praying for the children, Aunty Khandare, and the laborers who provide the care. Please consider becoming a part of the Gracci family through a one time gift or monthly support.

“No one makes a bigger mistake then ONE who does nothing because ONE can only do little.” – Edmund Burke

Together we are making a difference one child, one widow at a time.

The Starfish Story

By Loren Eisley

One day a man was walking along the beach when he noticed a boy picking something up and gently throwing it into the ocean. Approaching the boy, he asked, “What are you doing?”The youth replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.”“Son,” the man said, “don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make a difference!”After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it back into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said…” I made a difference for that one.”
